An invitation

Come, sit at our
table.

One cozy table, a small gathering, and the aroma of dishes wafting in from the kitchen. Most people arrive as strangers. By the time they get to the dessert, they usually aren't.

Each edition is built around something specific: a story woven through the courses, the food of one place, eaten the way it's meant to be. We cook the whole menu with fresh produce, plate it ourselves, and share a bit about where each dish is from before you take a bite.

Edition 01

Two Houses on the Bay

6:30 pmยท Amsterdam

We're cooking the menu twice, so pick the night that suits you. A small table, around three hours. Address shared on confirmation.

We're starting at home. The first menu is drawn from the two kitchens that raised us, one in Odisha and one in Andhra. Both sit on the Bay of Bengal, and yet they cook in very different accents. One leans on mustard, panch phoron, and a quiet sweetness. The other on tamarind, dried red chilli, and heat that builds slowly.

What's on your plate that night stays a surprise. Come in with a big appetite.

A theme, not a menu

Each evening is built around one story and the flavours from it. The food belongs to it, and that's what we share with you.

From our hands to your plate

Each course comes straight from the kitchen, with a sentence about where it's from before you take the first bite.

Pairing, included

Cocktails, wine, or a non-alcoholic flight, designed alongside the menu rather than bolted on.

One shared table

A small group, candlelight, about three hours. You'll know the people you share the evening with by the end of it.

How a night with us goes

About three hours, no rush between courses.

  1. 01

    A drink in your hand

A welcome pour as you walk in: kokum, saffron, curry leaf, or whatever the theme calls for. Something small to nibble on while the table fills up.

  2. 02

    The first courses

Two courses with a quick word from us. Where the dish is from, why it's on the menu tonight, the one detail worth knowing before the next bite.

  3. 03

    The story, between courses

Lights down for a few minutes. Photos of the streets, markets, and people behind the food, with a few stories from us along the way.

  4. 04

    The closing courses

The richer plates come out and the conversation tends to settle in. Dessert arrives, and we always end with a cup of masala chai and something small and sweet.

Save me a seat
